From Combat to Community:
The New Haven Club of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. proudly joins Yale University in co-sponsoring Col. Edna Cummings (Ret.), celebrated author of A Soldier’s Life: A Black Woman’s Rise from Army Brat to Six Triple Eight Champion.
Following her Yale Book Talk, join us for Denim & Pearls: From Combat to Community — an elegant after-party in Col. Cummings’ honor, celebrating service, sisterhood, and the power of legacy.
We will also recognize three distinguished local veterans whose leadership continues to strengthen Greater New Haven:
-
Britt Conroy – U.S. Air Force veteran and advocate for military-connected students at Southern Connecticut State University.
-
Chanelle Goldson – U.S. Army Reserve veteran, entrepreneur, and community leader empowering families through housing and service.
-
Ahmand Hollis – Retired Connecticut Army National Guard Sergeant, contractor, and mentor dedicated to building community from the ground up.
Wear your denim. Add your pearls. Celebrate courage, connection, and community. Hosted by the New Haven Club of NANBPWC, Inc. in partnership with Yale University.
